Optimaxer
Optimaxer is a free tool that tweaks, debloats and cleans Windows 10/11, and installs apps. The PowerShell edition uses WPF. A separate Rust desktop app combines Optimaxer with the Orion Store. The Python edition supports Manjaro, other Arch-based distributions and Fedora, with a Tk window and a command-line interface. PowerShell and Linux sources use the MIT license; the Orion-derived desktop app uses GPL-3.0.
Every tweak saves the value it replaces, so a single tweak, or all of them, can be undone later. It has no telemetry and no account.
In PowerShell:
irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bliper2/optimaxer/main/install.ps1 | iex
That installs to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Optimaxer, checks the SHA-256 of the download against the one GitHub publishes, adds shortcuts and starts it. If you would rather read the code first, get the zip from Releases, look through the scripts, and run Launch.bat.
What is in it:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bliper2/optimaxer/main/linux/install.sh | bash
optimaxer --dry-run
Needs Python 3 and Tk for the optional window (optimaxer gui). Apps come from pacman, the AUR, dnf or Flatpak, depending on the distribution. Includes tweaks with undo, browser debloat, cleaner, services, autostart entries, package removal, DNS and maintenance tools. Automated tests use a simulated system; real Arch and Fedora integration remains a separate check.
The Rust desktop build includes the Orion app catalog and Optimaxer's supported Windows tuning tools. Some PowerShell features are not ported; the desktop documentation lists them. Download the desktop ZIP from Releases.
It changes system settings and needs administrator rights. Make a restore point or snapshot first, and read the terms. What it sends over the network is listed in the privacy policy. Bugs and requests go to the issue tracker.
